TCIA Accreditation

You can’t claim to be a safety-conscious tree service company without TCIA Accreditation. The TCIA is the Tree Care Industry Association, and to be accredited by them means that we voluntarily submit to their oversight. We are very proud of our TCIA credentials.  Our TCIA accreditation means we have industry recommended safety policies in place, we give ongoing safety training to our employees, abide by industry best practices, etc.  Therefore, when a client hires Favreau Forestry they can rest assured that our workers are properly trained and insured. TCIA Members

In addition to being accredited by TCIA, we are also TCIA members. Our membership in the TCIA enables Favreau Forestry to be part of a national network of tree care specialists. We are able to stay up-to-date on developments in the arboreal world, such as news about parasites, diseases and techniques. We also have access to the expertise and knowledge tree service companies around the country.


ISA Certified Arborist

Brian Favreau is a Certified Arborist by the International Society of Arboriculture whose mission is to promote healthy trees. A Certified Arborist’s must be trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of arboriculture. Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP)

Brian Favreau is a CTSP. TCIA offers the Certified Treecare Safety Professional program and certification. This program allows one or more key employees to become CTSPs therefore empowering and encouraging a culture of safety within an organization and across the industry as a whole. Individuals who receive this certification have gone through an extensive and exhaustive safety education programs. As a result improving the safety level of Favreau Forestry! MA OSD State Contract Vendor FAC103

We are approved vendor on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Operational Services Division FAC103 contract in category 4 for Tree Trimming and Removal including but not limited to arborist services, stump grinding, tree debris removal and disposal. Favreau Forestry travels statewide and covers all regions and county’s of Massachusetts. In addition Favreau Forestry is certified Environmentally Preferable Products/Practices (EPP) as well as a verified small business through the Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP.)


MA OSD State Contract Vendor FAC86

Favreau Forestry is an approved vendor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Operational Services Division FAC86 contract for Solid Waste and Recycling Services including wood products such as drift wood, wood debris, wood chips, tree limbs, tree trunks, tree stumps and general wood debris. In addition Favreau Forestry is certified Environmentally Preferable Products/Practices (EPP) as well as a verified small business through the Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP.)


ALB (Asian Longhorned Beetle) Compliant

The Asian Longhorned Beetle is an invasive insect that destroys hardwood trees. First found in Massachusetts in 2008, this beetle is wrecking havoc on trees throughout the region. Favreau Forestry, a USDA ALB Compliant company, is trained to work within the eradication zone and engaging in best practices when dealing with this pest, such as properly disposing of infested trees and preventing further infestation. EHAP Certified

Workers in the tree service industry have dangers to contend with other than avoiding falling objects and working at great heights. Power lines are also a major concern.  As a result the Electrical Hazard Awareness Program is offered through the TCIA. This program trains tree service workers on the best practices for working near dangerous power lines, as well as meeting OSHA requirements. Learn more about EHAP Certification.


OSHA 10 Certification

All tree service professionals at Favreau Forestry have completed the OSHA 10-Hour Training Program. The program trains workers on the basics of workplace safety and how to ensure their work place is OSHA-compliant. Learn more about OSHA 10.
